How to prevent and stop hair loss in autumn?

Autumn has arrived, and during the so-called "chestnut season," it's not just the leaves that fall from the trees... In fact, many people notice a significant increase in hair loss and weakening during this period.
It's nothing to worry about! Hair loss is a natural process that is often more pronounced during seasonal changes. Other factors can also contribute to thinning hair: significant stress, poor diet, harsh chemical treatments, hormonal imbalances, or an incorrect hair care routine.
Aside from the most serious cases, which require specialist attention , there are some simple steps you can take in your hair care routine to keep your hair healthy and strong and be prepared for the coldest season, winter.
Let's always remember that healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp! Therefore, the first step is to thoroughly cleanse the scalp. This requires the periodic use of a detox scrub to remove dead cells, excess skin, and sebum residue, leaving the scalp clean and light.
A very important step is washing the hair . With each wash, the hair can weaken slightly: the scalp naturally produces protective substances against external agents and environmental factors. Shampoos, especially if very harsh, remove these substances, leaving the scalp with less protection. For this reason, if you want healthy and strong hair, we advise against washing it every day and, if you absolutely must, alternate a gentle shampoo (perhaps one specifically designed to strengthen) with even lighter products, such as co-washes or herbal washes.
The right conditioner should, of course, be used in conjunction with the shampoo, which , in addition to detangling the hair, is able to nourish and protect it.
So, let's move on to drying.
After washing, avoid rubbing your hair vigorously with the towel; instead, gently pat it to remove excess water.
It's best not to comb them while they are still wet, especially with very fine-toothed combs or brushes with hard bristles; it's better to use wide-toothed combs, preferably made of natural materials like wood.
To avoid ending up with a very tangled head of hair during and after washing, and then having to comb it with a lot of force, it's better to do it beforehand, when the hair is still dry and manageable.
Tools such as straighteners and curling irons should only be used sporadically, at a low temperature, and always on thoroughly dry hair, trying to minimize the time of use.
Of course, before using them, apply a heat protectant to your hair.
During certain times of the year, such as during the "chestnut season," when hair appears weaker and more brittle, it becomes necessary to increase the frequency of pre-shampoo treatments (for example, with oils) and occasionally use nourishing masks instead of conditioner.
During this phase, hair not only undergoes a seasonal change, but also comes from a period of intense stress caused by sun exposure, more frequent summer washes, salt water, or chlorine. Therefore, it needs extra care to regain the thickness, silkiness, and shine lost during vacation.
To further strengthen the hair, you can ask nature for a little extra help, a boost of vitamins, minerals, and other nourishing and restructuring active ingredients. This is where herbal treatments with neutral herbs come into play: Amla, Baobab, Fenugreek, Spirulina, or synergistic blends already composed with selected functional plants... there are so many solutions that Mother Nature puts at our disposal and that we too often underestimate!
In fact, herbal compresses are the most eco-sustainable, high-performing, and biocompatible way to care for oneself, meaning they are effective and compatible with our bodies.
Have fun experimenting with them and find the plant or mix that best suits your hair!
