Ideal for obtaining or intensifying nuances from pink to cool red. Its main pigment is alizarin, contained in the root of the plant. In Ayurvedic medicine, madder is attributed with many beneficial properties, especially soothing ones. To obtain visible color results and good pastel shades, it is recommended to always use it in combination with dyeing powders.
The use of pure madder root powder is not recommended because it does not allow for very intense color results. Added to Lawsonia powder (Red Henna No. 2 or No. 3), even with the addition of Hibiscus, Alcanna or Red Sandalwood, it becomes the ideal corrector for obtaining cool red nuances. Combined with Chamomile Blonde or Strawberry Blonde, it leads to apricot shades.
