Ideal as a tone corrector to achieve brown or ash nuances, thanks to its delicate brown pigment. The walnut husk is traditionally used to dye hair and fabrics, and the plant's coloring pigments can be used from both the husk and the leaves. For visible color results, it is recommended to always use it in combination with coloring powders.
The use of pure walnut shell powder is not recommended because it does not allow for very intense color results. Combined with Lawsonia (Red Henna No. 2 or No. 3), with the addition of Indigofera (Black Henna) or Katam, however, it gains strength, giving visible results on brown hair. When combined with blonde hair dyes, it helps to dull the highlights.
