Ideal as a color enhancer to achieve cool, dark tones. Katam offers more intense shades than Black Henna, but has less coloring power. It is recommended to use it in combination with Black Henna to take advantage of its dyeing capacity. On light brown hair, it brings the nuance towards medium-dark brown (60-90 minutes). On dark brown and black hair, it adds depth to the reflection (40-90 minutes). For gray hair or light bases, a double application is recommended: Red Henna No. 2 or No. 3 (25-45 minutes), rinse, and then apply Black Henna with Katam (40-120 minutes). The final color will be fully visible a few hours after drying.
Mix the required amount of powder with warm water until you obtain a paste that is not too thick. Let the paste rest for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Apply generously to clean, slightly damp hair. Wrap with plastic wrap or a shower cap and leave on for 40 to 120 minutes, depending on the desired result and the starting color. After the allotted time, rinse without shampoo (we recommend using the Districante Co-Wash), and proceed with normal drying.
