Ideal for intensifying cool red tones, thanks to its delicate, bright purple pigment. Hibiscus, also known as karkadé, has historically been used to prevent hair loss and keep hair soft, detangled, strong, and shiny, thanks to the presence of ascorbic acid, tannins, mucilages, and phytosterols. For visible color results and good color development, it is recommended to always use it in combination with hair color powders.
The use of pure Hibiscus powder is not recommended because it alone does not allow for very intense color results. Added to Lawsonia powder (Red Henna No. 2 or No. 3), and even with the addition of Madder or Alcanna, it becomes a corrector for obtaining cool red nuances; added to Walnut Hulls, it is useful for achieving sandy blonde highlights.
