Ideal for giving hair cool, light blonde highlights. Its coloring pigment, berberine, is an important dye substance also used in the past to dye wool, silk, and leather in various shades of yellow. It also has antibacterial and antioxidant properties. For good results, it's recommended to always use it in combination with other plants or mixtures.
Using pure Crespino powder is not recommended because it does not allow for the creation of creamy, easy-to-apply pastes. It can be combined with neutral powders (Ziziphus, Althea, Neutral Henna) in low percentages to obtain good pastes without lightening its coloring power. Alternatively, it can be used with other coloring powders (Rhubarb, Red Henna No. 2 or No. 3) to lighten and brighten the reflection. Combined with Chamomile Blonde, for example, it allows for a lighter, less golden blonde.
