Ideal for intensifying cool red tones and violet and mahogany nuances. The root of this plant contains tannins, flavonoids, waxy substances, and alannin: a red-violet coloring agent that has been used since ancient times to dye wool and fabrics. For visible results and good colorfastness, it is recommended to always use it in combination with dyeing powders.
The use of pure Alcanna powder is not recommended because it does not allow for very intense color results. Added to Lawsonia powder (Red Henna No. 2 or Red Henna No. 3), and even with the addition of Hibiscus or Madder, it becomes a corrector for obtaining cool red nuances; added to Walnut Hulls, it is useful for achieving warm blondes with sandy highlights.
